Capitalizing on the leadership and expertise of international women leaders, the Global Freedom Fellowship: A Hilton Worldwide and Vital Voices partnership leveraging leadership to end trafficking, was launched in 2013. Read the blogs.

This program relies on a multi-faceted, impact-oriented approach to provide a dynamic educational, mentoring and networking opportunity for women leaders who are on the forefront of global efforts to prevent and respond to the destructive crime of child trafficking.

The program spans three U.S. metropolitan areas that have developed unique, effective approaches to addressing human trafficking in Washington, D.C., New York City, and Dallas, Texas. Activities include opportunities to meet with government officials, discuss best practices with NGO leaders, meet with donors to share knowledge about funding needs, and to learn about collaborative approaches to working with local law enforcement.

The goal of this program is to provide participants with specific knowledge, skills and relationships that will benefit their professional development, their respective NGOs, and the communities they serve.

The program also develops an ongoing international network of activists working together to prevent and respond to the scourge of child sex trafficking throughout the world. This program gives special emphasis to ensuring that survivors of this crime are given the opportunity to become leaders in the movement to prevent and respond to trafficking.

In an effort to support women leaders in their work to combat human trafficking and enable these leaders to realize their full leadership potential, the Global Freedom Exchange invests in, mentors and strengthens the capacity of top emerging and established women leaders.
