Over the past two years, Vital Voices has supported women throughout the MENA region to undertake advocacy efforts in their home countries through this MEPI supported project. Driven by what they saw as a critical issue for women in their communities, these dynamic women have worked to positively impact their society during a time of unprecedented change. These women’s stories are a unique look into the power that women and civil society have to make change and teach lessons about how to engage in a positive and meaningful way.

The four women participating in this panel represent advocacy efforts that are just beginning in Tunisia, are under way after significant hurdles in Yemen, are pushing forward in Lebanon despite challenges, and have made a huge impact for working women in Jordan. Their stories will show the amazing efforts they have made, discuss the lessons they have learned, and talk about their vision for their communities.

Upcoming events featuring Policy Advocates will also be held in Washington D.C. and New York during the week of October 22nd.
